Dear friends and fellow activists,
we are taking forward the decisions reached at the Meeting of organisations and activists in solidarity with the Palestinian people held in Barcelona on November 25 last year. We believe that the situation makes the mobilisation and coordination of all solidarity with the Palestinian people even more necessary.
We have now started organising the next International Solidarity Meeting with the Palestinian people to be held on 16 and 17 March in Barcelona.
These are the goals that were set at the November 25 meeting:
- Set up a network to continue developing cooperation and coordination with other territorial and international organisations.
- Respond to the call for solidarity from Palestinian organisations and trade unions.
- Popularise and intensify the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign.
- Develop and promote solidarity by different groups of workers: dockers, health workers, education professionals, firefighters, etc.
In addition, we would like to establish criteria for immediate response, medium- and long-term initiatives.
The political framework for this Second Meeting is the resolution passed at the First Meeting, which you can read here below.
We would like to invite your organisation or movement to the Meeting on March 16 and 17. We look forward to receiving your confirmation as soon as possible via our e-mail
If possible, please include in your reply the name of the person who will be attending the Meeting.
To facilitate the tasks of the Meeting, we encourage you to submit a brief report on the work you have done so far, the problems you have encountered, and possible initiatives for the future.
We would also ask you to help us pass on this invitation to any organisation you know that shares the goals outlined here.
Barcelona,
